Advanced X-Ray integrated Sources (AXiS): Amendment 01: The purpose of this amendment is to provide clarification language regarding the submission of proposal abstracts. See the changes highlighted in yellow in the attached revised DARPA-BAA-11-11. Original Synopsis Below. DARPA is soliciting innovative research proposals in the area of Advanced X-ray Integrated Sources (AXiS) that are compact, energy-tunable, spectrally narrow with small divergence. TheAXiS program will develop x-ray source technology that will enable phase contrast imaging of low atomic number (low-Z) materials. The program is planned to have a duration of four (4)years. Proposed research should investigate innovative approaches that enable revolutionary advances in science, engineering, x-ray source components, and integrated sources. Specifically excluded is research that primarily results in evolutionary improvements to the existing state of practice.See DARPA-BAA-11-11 document attached.
