2007 Northeast Indiana Community Environmental Health Initiative Asthma/ETS Community Based Projects: The main goal of U.S. EPA Region 5s Northeast Indiana Community Environmental Health Initiative is to bolster local efforts to protect the community from indoor air pollution where they live, learn, and play. U.S. EPA will work with eligible entities to leverage resources and provide technical help that supports and enhances ongoing efforts to safeguard the communitys health. This project is expected to last approximately one year from the date of the award. The Community Environmental Health Initiative will focus on Northeast Indiana which includes the following 18 counties: ADAMS, ALLEN, BLACKFORD, DEKALB, DELAWARE, ELKHART, GRANT, HUNTINGTON, JAY, KOSCIUSKO, LAGRANGE, MADISON, NOBLE, RANDOLPH, STEUBEN, WABASH, WELLS, and WHITLEY. Because U.S. EPA Region 5 selected Northeast Indiana for its Community Environmental Health Initiative, this RFP is limiting the proposed project(s) to this geographic area.
