Additional Information on Eligibility: Applicants are limited to for-profit (commercial) organizations, nonprofit organizations, faith-based and community organizations, institutions of higher learning, and consortia with demonstrated organization and community-based experience working with American Indian and Alaska Native communities, including tribal for-profit (commercial) and nonprofit organizations, tribal colleges and universities, and tribal consortia. However, consistent with OJP fiscal requirements, for-profit organizations are not allowed to make a profit as a result of this award or to charge a management fee for the performance of this award.
Grant Description: The Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) is seeking proposals for assistance in designing and implementing the 2010 Survey of General Purpose Law Enforcement Agencies (2010SGPLEA). The goal of this survey is to generate accurate, reliable, timely, and relevant national statistics about general purpose law enforcement agencies in the United States. This survey will be conducted beginning January 2011. It will collect information on agency characteristics, personnel, budgets, policies and programs (referencing 2010).
