2011 National Survey of Indigent Defense: The Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) is seeking proposals to design, develop, and conduct the 2011 National Survey of Indigent Defense Systems (NSIDS). - Applicants are limited to for-profit (commercial) organizations, nonprofit organizations, faithbased and community organizations, institutions of higher learning, and consortia with demonstrated organization and community-based experience working with American Indian and Alaska Native communities, including tribal for-profit (commercial) and nonprofit organizations, tribal colleges and universities, and tribal consortia. However, consistent with OJP fiscal requirements, for-profit organizations are not allowed to make a profit as a result of this award or to charge a management fee for the performance of this award.
