2012 London Olympics Run-Up TV and Radio Programming: The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan is pleased to announce an open competition for an assistance award through this Request for Proposal (RFP). Kabul PAS invites all eligible organizations to submit a proposal for a television and radio programming project highlighting the run-up to the 2012 London Olympics. Kabul PAS seeks to fund a series of television and radio shows providing Afghan viewers insight and background on the Olympics, Afghanistan's involvement and the efforts of their aspiring Olympians, and the live presentation of the Opening Ceremony which will take place on 27 July 2012. The 8 episode series at a minimum will provide general information on the Olympics (i.e., Origins, History, and Importance), highlight the Afghan Olympic effort, showcase Afghan athletes that will be participating in the Olympics and their back stories, and highlight their journey to London. The 8th and final episode would be the live airing of the Opening Ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics.
