2019 Partnerships for Hawaiian Monk Seal Recovery and Conservation: The National Marine Fisheries Service (hereinafter, "NMFS") is soliciting competitive applications for the fiscal year 2019 Partnerships for Hawaiian Monk Seal Recovery and Conservation. Projects are being solicited to support specific programmatic activities related to the following two priorities: Priority 1: Conducting outreach and monitoring efforts at seal haul-out locations and providing support for monk seal health and safety responses. Priority 1 projects can occur within Maui, Lanai, Molokai, Hawaii Island or Oahu. Priority 2: Addressing management strategies outlined in the Main Hawaiian Islands Monk Seal Management Plan. Priority 2 projects can occur within the entire Main Hawaiian Islands (Maui, Lanai, Molokai, Hawaii Island, Kauai, or Oahu).
