AFRL/HEDR Research Support: Air Force Research Laboratory, Human Effectiveness Directorate (AFRL/HEDR ) solicits research proposals The objectives of this program are to provide research support operations for the Air Force Research Laboratory, Directed Energy Bioeffects Division (AFRL/HEDR). The mission of AFRL/HEDR is to determine the health and safety of Air Force personnel exposed to radio frequency radiation (RFR), to conduct bioeffects research to determine the effects of emerging directed energy weapons, and to assist in the transitioning of directed energy technologies to the user. The scope of the proposed contract will cover conducting bioeffects research on directed energy and kinetic energy systems to assist in transitioning DoD technologies. Specific requirements include the following: 1. Human Exposure Standards 2. Health and Safety 3. Directed Energy Weapon Effectiveness and Safety 4. Counter Threats 5. Modeling and Simulation 6. Non-lethal Weapons Index 7. Biotechnology 8. Crowd Behavior and Non-Lethal Weapons 9. System integration 10. Research Support 11.
