Application for this program is limited to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) of the Department of Health Research of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW), of the Republic of India. This limited eligibility is based on the key objectives of the program to develop and implement infectious-disease research projects, and allow the organization to carry out multiple, ongoing, public-health research activities in India.
Grant Description
The HHS/CDC/NCIRD Influenza Division (ID) is seeking a cooperative agreement with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) of the Department of Health Research within the Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to strengthen capacity in India to detect and evaluate existing and emerging infectious diseases; to estimate the burden of certain infectious disease; to evaluate the acceptability, efficacy and effectiveness of vaccines; and to evaluate other interventions that could reduce the burden of existing and emerging infectious diseases.
