Advancing Civic Engagement through the Assessment of Public Opinion: The Bureau of Near East Affairs, Office of Assistance Coordination (NEA/AC) announces a Notice of Funding Opportunity for projects that focus on reinvigorating public participation in the MENA regions decision-making processes and supporting a more vibrant and robust dialogue between governments, business associations, private sector stakeholders, civil society organizations, and citizens. Advancing Civic Engagement through the Assessment of Public Opinion is an initiative intended to increase responsiveness to citizen, civil society, and business needs and enhance the publics ability to actively engage their government institutions, developing more informed and relevant policy making. Applicants are encouraged to consider initiatives that address governments interest in more information on public policy challenges and opportunities. Applicant will demonstrate awareness of existing efforts in the region and avoid duplication of similar activities.
