Advancing Partners Community-based Family Planning Project: The U. S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking applications for a Cooperative Agreement from eligible U.S. non-profit, private voluntary organizations or universities for a program titled, "Advancing Partners and Community-based Family Planning Project." The authority for the RFA is found in the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as amended. USAID strongly encourages applicants to propose creative collaborative partnerships with other U.S. and/or international organizations, NGOs, private voluntary organizations and universities to implement activities under this program. This RFA provides an estimate of the dollar amount for the Cooperative Agreement of $210 million over five years. The objective of the Advancing Partners and Community-based Family Planning Project is to build upon and expand USAID's previous successful efforts to address the family planning (FP) needs of marginalized and underserved populations through community-based family planning (CBFP) programs to support and advance global leadership on CBFP and build organizational and technical capacity of private voluntary organizations (PVOs) and emerging non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to implement CBFP programs.
