Advancing Zoonotic Disease Detection through a One Health Approach in Thailand: The purpose of this cooperative agreement is: To conduct and monitor epidemiologic, clinical, and laboratory-based projects, surveillance, and research of priority zoonotic diseases in Thailand at the human- animal-environment interface. To incorporate the results of multi-sectoral, One Health and zoonotic disease operational research activities into new or existing disease detection, prevention, control, and response programs in Thailand and ensure the strengthening of local workforce capacity and dissemination of findings across the region, with partners, and globally. Other areas for research include emerging infectious diseases including, but not limited to zoonotic and vector-borne diseases; vaccine-preventable zoonotic diseases in animals; biosafety and security; and other public health threats of local and global importance.
