Proposals will be considered in the topics of novel components for high energy lasers, ultra-short, ultra-intense pulse lasers and laser effects, laser interactions, and materials, devices, and techniques for high average power solid-state lasers. The details of these topics are described in Section I, Funding Opportunity Description. See the Full Announcement.AFOSR is seeking unclassified, fundamental research proposals that do not contain proprietary information. Additionally, proposals should have a potential to transition to applied research at the end of the MRI performance period. It is anticipated that the awards will be made in the form of grants.
