Alaska Conservation Journal: This Funding Announcement is not a request for applications. This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park Service (NPS), intention to fund the following project with Alaska Geographic Association under a Cooperative Agreement for the design and layout of an educational conservation-science journal. The project intended award estimate is $39,400. This project supports the mission of the Alaska Geographic Association and the educational content can provide a framework for the conservation planning in Alaska. The cooperator will coordinate with the NPS to provide editing, design and layout. The National Park Service will coordinate and act as liaison between writers, artist, and cooperator; Announce and collect documents to be included and distributed to the public. NPS did not solicit full and open competition for this award based the following criteria: (1) Unique Qualifications - The applicant is uniquely qualified to perform the activity based upon a variety of demonstrable factors such as location, property ownership, voluntary support capacity, cost-sharing ability if applicable, technical expertise, or other such unique qualifications; (2) Continuation - The activity to be funded is necessary to the satisfactory completion of, or is a continuation of an activity presently being funded, and for which competition would have a significant adverse effect on the continuity or completion of the activity;
