Anacostia River Urban Watershed Partnership: Availability of Funds: Projects may involve geospatial information. This notice announces the availability of grant funds for the Anacostia River watershed. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in collaboration with the US Department of Transportation's Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is soliciting new assistance agreement proposals under the EPA's Targeted Watershed Grants Program designed to support the protection and restoration of urban water resources through a holistic watershed approach to water quality management. For purposes of this activity, funding will be directed to environmental outcomes-based, watershed projects in the Anacostia River Basin which stress a range of water quality improvement strategies and targets. These include, but are not limited to: public and private partnerships (including partnering with transportation organizations and industry); non-traditional pollution controls; nonpoint source nutrient (nitrogen and phosphorous) and stormwater reduction; and long term viability.
