Anadromous Salmonid Habitat Restoration in the Sacramento River: The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) intends to issue a cooperative agreement to California State University, Chico under the authority of Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) 15.512, Central Valley Project Improvement Act, Public Law 102-575, Section 3406(b)(13) and 3407(e). Estimated total amount of agreement is $16,950,834.00. Reclamation is providing $1,355,000.00 in Fiscal Year 2016. The objectives of the project are to: Objective #1: Re-establish meander belts by creating new side channels and modify existing side channels Objective #2: Create and/or improve rearing habitats for the juvenile life stages of anadromous salmonids in the Sacramento River Objective #3: Conduct biological and physical site surveys to document the effectiveness of projects in improving salmonid habitat (Refer to the Notice of Intent to Award Announcement No. BOR-MP-16-N020 for additional information) A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed financial assistance based upon Departmental Manual 505 DM 2, paragraph 2.14(B)(4) is solely within the discretion of the Government.
