Assessment and Watershed Protection Program Grants (AWPPGs): The AWPPGs provide States and local governments, Federally recognized Indian Tribes, territories and possessions of the U.S., including the District of Columbia, interstate associations or intertribal consortia, public or private nonprofit, nongovernmental institutions and individuals (hereafter referred to as eligible applicants) an opportunity to carry out projects to develop and refine comprehensive watershed programs. The projects that eligible applicants can undertake to develop and refine their comprehensive watershed programs are diverse.
