The total amount awarded and the number of awards will depend upon the numbers, quality, duration, and costs of the applications received. -This is a limited competition program announcement (with special receipt dates) for revision (i.e., competitive supplement) applications.

Foreign institutions are not eligible to apply. Eligible institutions or organizations are the current NCI Cancer Center Support (P30) awardees (institutions/organizations). All NCI-designated Cancer Center investigators are eligible to apply, so long as the criteria in regard to project responsiveness are met. However, anticipated funding period of the Avon-NCI award should not extend beyond the end date of the 5-year parent P30 project period. Likewise, if investigators from other SPOREs (P50)/ NCI-designated Cancer Centers are included in the application as subcontractors, the funding period of these subcontractors should not exceed their respective parent P30/P50 project period. Applications exceeding this time limit will not be accepted.
