BLM CA Bi-State Distinct Population of Greater Sage-Grouse Strategic Action Plan DPS: The Bi-State Distinct Population of Greater Sage-Grouse has been a focus of collaborative conservation actions in for several decades. In 2002, a Local Area Working Group LAWG was formed and included land management agencies such as the BLM and the Forest Service, private landowners, county government, Nevada and California wildlife management agencies, the Natural Resources Conservation Service and many other stakeholders. A Technical Advisory Team TAC of biologists with local experience working with sage-grouse was created from within this LAWG
