BLM CA Madrone Audubon Society: This project will consists of avian monitoring and developing collaborative adaptation strategies for landscapes in which BLM lands in Sonoma County occur, principally the California Coastal National Monument, the Cedars Area of Critical Environmental Concern, and the Mayacamas Mountains. Monitoring avian resources as indicators of climate change is a core activity of many field offices in California. Developing collaborative adaptation strategies for important areas of high biological diversity and endemism or high landscape intactness are key aims of the Department of the Interior and of the BLM.
