- Grant Description
- The purpose of this project is to develop a Rare Earth Element (REE) signature database of the Moreno Shale Formation for the BLM to use in the tracing and recovery of stolen vertebrate fossils. Additionally, the REE data will be used to interpret depositional conditions (paleoenvironment) of the Moreno Shale Formation including estimated temperature, pH, and oxygen availability.
