Grant Description
Bureau of Land Management (BLM), California, and the Desert Renewable Energy Conservation Plan (DRECP) partners with detailed geographic baseline data on biological habitat quality and vegetation within approximately 1 million acres of the Blythe Palen Lake area of the northern Colorado Desert on public lands managed by the BLM. This product will follow DRECP-wide agreed standards for detailed vegetation mapping and site quality assessment so the entire area can be uniformly evaluated for its biological integrity, thus providing for consistent and defensible evaluation of siting, mitigation, and landscape level monitoring of its biological values.
