- *This Funding Announcement is not a request for applications. This announcement is to provide public notice of the Bureau of Land Management?s intention to fund the following project activities without full and open competition. The principle purpose of the project is to identify project areas that when and if treated should increase the ecological integrity of the Ward Mountain systems. This would enable The Nature Concervancy and the Nevada BLM to meet their mission of preserving natural communities. The Ely District Office (EYDO) nominated and was awarded a Round 9 Southern Nevada Public Lands Management Act (SNPLMA) Eastern Nevada Landscape Restoration Project (ENLRP) to engage The Nature Conservancy to complete an assessment to restore native ecosystems and treat WUI sites on approximately 120,000 acres of BLM, US Forest Service and Shoshone Tribal lands adjacent to and southwest of Ely, NV on Ward Mountain.
