- Grant Description
- This project will bring together individual volunteers, service and conservation groups, businesses and government agencies in activities to restore our natural spaces and provide educational opportunities to encourage environmental stewardship, especially with youth. BLM and the recipient will work together to engage volunteers in several community based projects and activities, including projects that compliment the BLM mission, such as clean up events at Fisherman's Bend and along the Molalla River in the Salem District, a spring clean-up project in the Marcola area in the Eugene District, "Down by the Riverside" clean-up event in the Burns District, and river clean-up events along the Middle Deschutes in the Prineville District, and youth related events and projects that support National Public Lands Day.
