- The primary objective of this project is to sample specific locations within watersheds in the Great Basin of Eastern Oregon to generate distribution and population estimates for redband trout. This information will ultimately serve to determine trends over time. Data from sites on BLM land will be incorporated into a dataset for all ownerships within a watershed to develop distribution and abundance information at a watershed scale. Thirty sites will be sampled in the Warner Lakes, Catlow Valley, and Blitzen watersheds (10 sites are located in each watershed).
