Grant Description
The Scott Valley Management Area (SVMA) encompasses some 13,000 acres of lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management in Siskiyou County. Much of this is forested land that requires active management to promote healthy forest conditions and to mitigate hazards associated with dense fuels that could lead to large, uncontrolled wildland fire. The main objective of this stewardship project is to develop a partnership that would enable implementation of a range of projects focusing on improving forest health and promoting fire safe landscapes.
