- Grant Description
- A. Project Background Information: The goals of this follow the four major components of the Department of Interior's GPRA Strategic Plan for 2007-2012 (Resource Protection, Resource Use, Recreation Opportunities and Serving Communities). These goals further implement the JZ performance measures within the Bureau's Operating Plan. Project allows BLM to achieve seed collection work accomplishments while at the same time benefitting the community and Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU) partners or other non-profit organizations and their missions. B. Project Objective: The objective of this agreement is to document a cooperative effort between a CESU or other non-profit partner and BLM to increase native seed collections available for evaluation, increase, and production; and to increase long-term storage of diverse collections of native plant germplasm. C. Period of Project: 5 years
