BOSNIA-HERZEGOVINA DIASPORA ENGAGEMENT: This program is authorized in accordance with Part 1 of the Foreign Assistance act of 1961, as amended. Through this Addendum to the FY2014 Global Development Alliance (GDA) Annual Program Statement APS-OAA-14-000001 (the GDA APS), USAID/Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) is making a special call for the submission of Concept Papers for specific activities related to the Missions strategic priority of diaspora engagement in BiH economic development. USAID Bosnia recognizes the importance of partnering with the diaspora community and welcomes proposals for Global Development Alliances that foster the mobilization of human and financial resources from the diaspora to address BiHs economic development needs. The main objective to promote Bosnia and Herzegovina Diaspora Engagement in their homeland countrys economic development consistent with USAIDs Diaspora Network Alliance Framework. USAID Bosnia has identified six channels of engagement that are consistent with USAIDs Diaspora Networks Alliance (DNA) framework. The six channels are (1) Diaspora Entrepreneurship (2) Diaspora Capital Markets (3) Diaspora Philanthropy (4) Diaspora Volunteerism (5) Diaspora Tourism and Nostalgia Trade and (6) Diaspora Advocacy. Unless otherwise specifically stated herein, all terms and conditions of the GDA APS FY14 apply (http://idea.usaid.gov/gp/aps). As stated in APS No.: APS-OAA-14-000001, USAID expects to receive alliance proposals that leverage private sector resources at a minimum of 1:1. USAID Bosnia may allocate up to $2,000,000 to fund successful proposals. Proposals under $500,000 will not be taken into consideration. USAID reserves the right to not issue any awards if proposals do not leverage private sector resources at a level that equals or exceeds the amount of resources requested from USAID.
