Biomass Research and Development Initiative (BRDI): The purposes of this modification are to: 1. Modify Section II.C. Maximum and Minimum Award Size: Accordingly, the following sentences are deleted: ?The proposed total project costs must fall between the ceiling and floor stated below. Applications and pre-applications that include proposed total project costs outside the stated ceiling and floor will not be reviewed or considered for award. ?Total project cost? means all the funds to complete the effort proposed by the Applicant, including DOE funds (including direct funding of any FFRDC) plus all other funds that will be committed by the Applicant as Cost Sharing.? and replaced with: ?The proposed Federal funding must fall between the ceiling and floor stated below. Applications and pre-applications that include proposed Federal funding outside the stated ceiling and floor will not be reviewed or considered for award. The ceiling and floor amounts are Federal funding amounts only.? 2. Modify Section IV.C.3.a ? Project Summary/Abstract File: Accordingly, the following paragraph is deleted: ?THIS DOCUMENT MUST NOT INCLUDE ANY PROPRIETARY OR SENSITIVE BUSINESS INFORMATION AS THE DOE AND/OR USDA-NIFA MAY MAKE IT AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC. The Pre-application project summary should not exceed 1 page when printed using standard 8.5? by 11? paper with 1? margins (top, bottom, left and right) with font not smaller than 10 point. Save the information in a single file named ?Summary.pdf,? and click on ?Add Optional Other Attachment? to attach.? and replaced with: ?THIS DOCUMENT MUST NOT INCLUDE ANY PROPRIETARY OR SENSITIVE BUSINESS INFORMATION AS THE DOE AND/OR USDA-NIFA MAY MAKE IT AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC. The Pre-application project summary should not exceed 1 page when printed using standard 8.5? by 11? paper with font not smaller than 10 point. Save the information in a single file named ?Summary.pdf,? and click on ?Add Optional Other Attachment? to attach.? All other terms and conditions of the Announcement remain the same.
