Blm Ca San Joaquin River Gorge Project Archaeology Program: The objectives of the Project Archaeology program are to educate students, groups and the general public about the science of archaeology, expose them to careers in cultural resource management, and develop appreciation and respect for the local Native American culture. Additionally, we desire to instill in participants a stewardship ethic towards cultural resources, protection of cultural and historic sites, and to promote responsible recreation on public lands.
