Boating Safety Grant Program: The contact information at the bottom of this screen shot, is NOT the administering program office. *** * The Coast Guard will fund projects on various subjects promoting recreational boating safety at the national level. Please indicate on your application "which" funding opportunity you are applying for. The Coast Guard will accept grant applications on several specific studies/projects such as: Develop and Conduct a National Annual Safe Boating Campaign; Develop and Conduct a National Recreational Boating Safety Outreach and Awareness Conference; Federal/State Cooperative Partnering Efforts; Develop and Conduct Boating Accident Investigation Seminars; National Estimate of Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs) Wear Rate; Develop New National Boating Survey Instrument and Methodology; Voluntary Standards Development Support. * Potential grantees should focus on partnership, i.e., exploring other sources, linkages, in-kind contributions, cost sharing, and partnering with other organizations or corporations. We encourage proposals addressing other boating safety concerns. The primary goal of the National Recreational Boating Safety Program is to reduce fatalities to specified levels for each upcoming year. Grant applicants are encouraged to list and describe the tools they will use to measure their performance toward achieving their objectives in support of the fatality-reduction goal.
