Bull Trout Recovery Assistance: This project would transfer funds for bull trout recovery evaluation through inventory, design and implementation of improved fish passage in Montana. The initial focus on improving fish passage will be associated with irrigation diversion and road crossings for Bull Trout and Westslope Cutthroat Trout in focus watersheds (Rock Creek, Upper/Middle Clark Fork River and Bitterroot River). Improving fish passage and reducing entrainment of fish on nonfederal lands in Western Montana will help the Service to recover bull trout.
