CESU - Collect, analyze and describe surface hydrology data for the Barataria Preserve's rapidly sinking deltaic landscape: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD: This is not a request for applications. This provides public notice of the National Park Service's intention to award a Cooperative agreement. This project's purpose is to analyze and interpret a substantial hydrology dataset collected at the Barataria Preserve. The Preserve, located in Mississippi River's delta, is impacted by increasing coastal flooding and relative sea level rise. This quantitative and descriptive analysis will inform Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve's planning and management decisions.
