Other Eligible Applicants include the following: Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian Serving Institutions; Faith-based or Community-based Organizations; Hispanic-serving Institutions; Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs); Indian/Native American Tribal Governments (Other than Federally Recognized); Tribally Controlled Colleges and Universities (TCCUs) ; U.S. Territory or Possession; Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Organizations) are not eligible to apply. Foreign (non-U.S.) components of U.S. Organizations are not allowed.
Grant Description
To foster the development of a diverse and highly trained workforce of pediatric endocrinologists to assume leadership roles related to the Nations biomedical and behavioral research efforts in the area of pediatric diabetes, the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) invites applications for the establishment of institutional career development programs in diabetes research for pediatric endocrinologists. The NIDDK will award physician scientist career development program (K12) grants to eligible institutions to provide a program to prepare pediatricians, selected by the institution, for careers in pediatric endocrinology research related to diabetes.
