Centers for Disease Control and Prevention: CDCs Procurement and Grants Office has published a program announcement entitled, "Centers for Genomics and Public Health". The purpose of the program is to sustain development of the network of Centers for Genomics and Public Health (Centers), and continue to address the integration of genomics into health practice. This includes providing technical assistance to community, state, and regional organizations, provide competency based training in genomics and population health for the health workforce, identify opportunities to serve as a credible and impartial provider of current information about genomics, participate in collaborative processes with other Centers, CDC and external partner, and evaluate the process, achievements and impact of the Center?s activities.
