Chesapeake Bay Watershed Fiscal Year (FY) 2018 Conservation Technical Assistance Cooperative Agreements: The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), an agency under the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), is announcing a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NFO) for the availability of cooperative agreements to expedite conservation plan development and conservation practice implementation in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. NRCS will provide technical assistance awards to entities that possess staff who can develop conservation plans, implement conservation practices and enhancements, or provide specified training in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. The expectation is that staff will be ready to deliver services immediately upon entering into an agreement with NRCS. Entities can apply that have one or more employees who are licensed engineers, soil conservation or civil engineering technicians with advanced engineering job approval authority, or conservation planners who are certified or will be certified in less than one year by NRCS. Proposals will be accepted for projects located within the Chesapeake Bay Watershed in the following states: Maryland, New York, and Pennsylvania. NRCS anticipates that the available funding will be: Maryland: Minimum of $2,000; Maximum of $300,000; Four anticipated awards New York: Minimum of $80,000; Maximum of $330,000; One anticipated award Pennsylvania: Minimum of $2,000; Maximum of $250,000; Four anticipated awards NRCS will accept applications under this notice for single year or multiyear proposals, not to exceed five (5) years, submitted by eligible entities. Applicants can submit more than one proposal to do work in more than one state. If an applicant's proposals for multiple states are approved, with concurrence of the applicant, NRCS may combine awards into a single agreement.
