- CDCs Procurement and Grants Office has published a program announcement entitled Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Programs. Approximately $31,000,000 will be available to fund 40 awards to states, territories, and five local jurisdictions with the highest number of cases involving children with elevated blood lead levels. The purpose of the program is to assist state and local partners in building capacity to eliminate childhood lead poisoning as a major public health problem.
