Citizen Participation Strengthening in Moldova: Under this five-year, approximately $10 million project in Moldova, USAID seeks to achieve four main results: 1) citizens and community groups mobilize themselves to address community problems; 2) activists effectively mobilize resources in their communities; 3) project applications from community groups are successfully competed, accepted for assistance, monitored, and evaluatied; and citizens and grass-roots organizations are able to organize, mobilize local resources, resolve shared problems, and improve their community; and 4) citizens are knowledgeable about democratic and transparent government processes and procedures and are able to demand them from their local governments.
