Civic/Voter Education in Preparation of 2010 General Elections: The United States Agency for International Development in Dar es salaam, Tanzania (USAID/Tanzania) is seeking applications for a Cooperative Agreement from qualified Registered Local Tanzania Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to implement a project entitled "Civic/Voter Education in Preparation Of 2010 General Elections" in Tanzania. The authority for this RFA is found in the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as amended.The successful Applicant will be responsible for ensuring achievement of the program objectives. Please refer to the Program Description in Section C of this RFA for a complete statement of goals and expected results.Pursuant to 22 CFR 226.81, it is USAID policy not to award profit under assistance instruments. However, all reasonable, allocable, and allowable expenses, direct and indirect, which are related to the Cooperative Agreement and are in accordance with applicable cost standards (22 CFR 226, OMB Circular A-122 for non-profit organizations, OMB Circular A-21 for universities, and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 31 regarding for-profit organizations) may be paid under the Award.Subject to the availability of funds, USAID intends to provide approximately $620,000 in total USAID funding for this activity to be allocated over a period of up to one-year period. USAID reserves the right to fund any or none of the applications submitted. Although it is planned to make an award of one or two cooperative agreement under this RFA, USAID in its discretion may make awards to more than one organization or no award.
