Civil Right Interns in the Nation's Capital: The primary focus of this program is to research important civil rights topics and develop sustainable educational and interpretive programs for the public. Additionally the training opportunities offered through this program will create a pipeline for the inclusion of talented young people into the NPS Workforce. These interns will work on directed research projects with cultural resource professionals, develop and provide new interpretive programming at sites, participate in exhibit and media development, implement new Junior Ranger and Web Ranger programs for children, and receive training and career development to prepare them for future careers in the field.
