- Grant Description
- The goal of this project is to develop an operational plan for the Environmental Water Program (EWP) acceptable to all parties and to evaluate re-operation of Whiskeytown Dam to release a biologically beneficial, geomorphologically significant pulse flow on Clear Creek. Additional supporting work includes: development of geomorphic and biological effectiveness monitoring plans and implementation of the monitoring within them if the pulse flow is implemented. These flows will provide habitat benefits for fall-run Chinook salmon and federally listed spring-run Chinook and steelhead trout, consistent with the NMFS OCAP Biological Opinion, June 2009. Please see the attached Notice of Intent for a more in depth description of the work to be accomplished.
