Clinical Interventions to Increase Organ Procurement: The goal of this Clinical Intervention Grant Program is to assist eligible entities in the implementation, evaluation, and dissemination of interventions to increase organ procurement. The goal of the grant program is to assist eligible entities in the evaluation of, or the implementation and evaluation of highly promising strategies and approaches that can improve methods for identifying appropriate heart-beating and non-heart beating donation candidates, evaluating donated organs, maintaining donor stability, and optimizing methods for organ procurement. All projects must have rigorous methodology and evaluation components capable of ascertaining the effectiveness of the intervention(s).
