Collaboration to Increase Access to Outdoor Recreation on the Ch: This is NOT a request for applications. This is just a public notice that NPS is working with the Maryland Office of Tourism Development on projects under this cooperative agreement. Specifically, the MOTD will: 1. Authorize Maryland Office of Tourism Development (MOTD) employees to support the efforts of the partnership in close consultation with National Park Service (NPS) to ensure all activities outlined in this agreement and subsequent Task Agreements are mutually agreeable.2. Work with NPS to identify and implement projects that advance efforts to implement the 2014 Chesapeake Bay Watershed Agreement and The Chesapeake Bay Initiative Act of 1998 in the state of Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay watershed.3. Work with NPS to consider ways to promote access to outdoor recreation on the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries through training, content development, marketing and other mechanisms as may be determined.4. Work closely with NPS staff to ensure that cooperative projects are in compliance with all federal regulations, policies and procedures and are consistent with NPS policies, standards, guidelines, and priorities.5. Maintain regular communication with NPS staff to ensure that cooperative work is implemented effectively and that any issues are identified and readily addressed.6. Assist NPS in establishing new relationships and capitalizing on existing relationships with Chesapeake Bay regional partner organizations and local and state governments.7. Place content on www.visitmaryland.com, and working with the Chesapeake Conservancy, on www.findyourchesapeake.com.8. Place sponsored content in key domestic and international markets to attract visitors to Chesapeake sites.
