Collaborative Approach to Vegetation Management in the Redwood Creek Watershed: This task agreement will facilitate collaboration on native plant restoration and invasive plant management within the Redwood Creek Watershed with an emphasis on work across jurisdictional boundaries. Tasks accomplished under this task agreement will include treatment of invasive plants, installation of native plants, botanical surveys, and habitat restoration on both State Parks and NPS lands. The intended outcome is to increase biodiversity in the Redwood Creek watershed by minimizing the threat posed by invasive species. Because of high visitor use, invasive non-native plants are an ongoing problem within the Redwood Creek Watershed. Left unmanaged, these plants would take over native habitat and negatively impact wildlife habitat and degrade the ecological integrity of the park.
