- Grant Description
- -Purpose. The purpose of the Collaborative Interdisciplinary Team Science Program described in this announcement is to provide support to enable strong investigative teams to do inter- and/or trans-disciplinary research on a complex problem in biomedical science relevant to Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases. -Mechanism of Support. This FOA will utilize the Research Resource Grant Mechanism (R24). -Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards. It is anticipated that 1-3 projects will be funded per year, but because the nature and scope of the proposed research will vary from application to application, it is anticipated that the size and duration of each award will also vary. The total amount awarded and the number of awards will depend upon the quality, duration, and costs of the applications received, as well as on the availability of funds.
