Combating Human Trafficking in Bulgaria: The United States Government, as represented by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Regional Contracting Office in Budapest, Hungary, announces an opportunity for organizations to submit applications for implementing program in Combating Human Trafficking in Bulgaria for USAID/Bulgaria, as described in the Annual Program Statement (APS) below. The issuance of this APS is to disseminate information about this program to prospective recipients or grantees so that they may develop and submit applications for USAID funding and to explain the process and criteria for evaluating applications. Applications will be eligible if submitted by private organizations, firms or corporations, profit or non-profit of US or Bulgarian or other countries under the terms of USAID geographic code 935, if waived. USAID anticipates awarding more than one grant or cooperative agreements under this APS, subject to the viability of applications received and the availability of funds. Accordingly, USAID reserves the right to make multiple awards or no awards at all through this APS. The Regional Contracting Office (RCO) in Budapest must receive the first round applications at any time after this APS has been issued, but not later than June 9, 2003. The activities should commence no later than October 1, 2003. Applications submitted after June 9, 2003 will be evaluated on or before December 31, 2003. Selected applications may be funded at any time during the program period.
