Combating Human Trafficking in the Philippines Program: USAID/Philippines trafficking in persons program will support targeted interventions based on relevance, selectivity, effectiveness, impact, and sustainability. USAID assistance will address priority areas and reform initiatives of the Philippines, represented on the government side by the IACAT, and by a variety of civil society organizations (CSOs). USAID/Philippines is currently supporting initiatives in economic growth and education to create an environment conducive for greater local employment. USAID assistance will give priority to initiatives that will create a sustainable foundation for improved prosecution, protection and prevention of human trafficking. USAID assistance will seek to strengthen and scale-up successful components of past projects and complement initiatives of other donors to maximize the programs contributions to the anti-trafficking efforts of the Philippine government and CSOs. USAID assistance will take into consideration the sustainability of activities and results.
