Community Outreach and Engagement Internships: The Recipient and the NPS share the goal of diversifying the cultural backgrounds of the people visiting and working for national parks in order to better reflect the American public. The Recipient and NPS will collaborate on outreach strategies to diverse populations to enable them to access information about the national park system. In addition, both the Recipient and the NPS share the goal of cultivating future stewards of the national parks by providing opportunities for diverse youth to work and play in the national parks.
