Eligibility Requirements Applicants may be a Federally recognized Indian Tribe, State or local unit of government; non-governmental organization; or individual. Applications will be accepted from Utah entities for projects within the boundary of the State of Utah.
Grant Description
Funding Opportunities:Proposals must address one or more of the following: 1 Improved On-Farm Energy Efficiency, 2 Market-based Approaches, 3 Development and Adoption of On-Farm Energy Audits, 4 Application of Improved Forage Production, 5 Drainage Water Management.Applications submitted to NRCS will be accepted for single or multi-year projects, not exceeding three years.When performed in conjunction with agricultural production, the purpose of Conservation Initiative Grant (CIG) is to stimulate the development and adoption of innovative conservation approaches and technologies while leveraging Federal investment in environmental enhancement and protection. CIG projects are expected to lead to transfer of information, about conservation technologies, management systems, and innovative approaches (such as market-based systems) for placement in NRCS technical manuals and guides or to the private sector.Funding opportunity may be up to 50 percent of the total project cost.
