Conservation and Restoration of Heritage Building Complex of Erbil Citadel: The U.S. Embassy in Baghdad invites eligible organizations to submit proposals to provide logistical support to the High Commission for Erbil Citadel Revitalization (HCECR) for the purpose of safeguarding a heritage building complex at the World Heritage Site of the Erbil Citadel. The project's overall goal is to contribute the conservation and sustainable management of the Erbil Citadel through implementing conservation and restoration activities on this building complex, ensuring revitalization of Erbil Citadel in the long term. The duration of the project is for one year, after which the building will be rehabilitated as a children's interpretation center. The Governments of Iraq and the United States are jointly committed through the U.S.-Iraq Strategic Framework Agreement to help preservation of Iraqi cultural Heritage sites.
