- Eligible Applicants CDC wishes to partner with private national non-profit organizations that focus on health concerns and whose broad based membership generally includes primarily small, medium, or large, private employers or occupational health professionals that have developed innovative and unique methodologies to improve/protect employee health and productivity. These organizations should have a history of working with businesses around activities such as purchasing and promoting health options for their workers, setting health-protection, prevention, and promotion policies and programs at the worksite. Applicants should be able to demonstrate preliminary results from their activities in protecting health and/or purchasing and promoting health options, policies and programs. By working with a few private national non-profit business and occupational health member organizations, CDC can inform and influence hundreds of businesses. CDC seeks private non-profit organizations that are knowledgeable about health issues and have experience and expertise in working with businesses on protection, prevention, and health promotion strategies. Applications may be submitted by national private non-profit organizations that have a membership composed primarily of private employers or occupational health professionals with national operations.

- The purpose of this cooperative agreement is to develop and apply evidence based practices with national business and occupational health organizations and their constituencies. Our mutual goals are to protect health, prevent disease and disability, and promote healthy behaviors with regard to a variety of disease areas, health conditions, and potential natural or man-made threats, disasters or emergencies.
